The maintenance and concierge service is really bad: 1) the key system is archaic compared to any other brand new units. And they keep sighting security but security is horrible here. The front entrance door has been open and broken forever. But god forbid, if you requested an extra key for 2days-period for your mom who is visiting you out of town. That would be a breach of security. 2) since two months ago, the water quality has drastically depreciated. The water tastes bad. Other neighbors complain about it too. Im scared of the water. The location is great. And except the occasional dog poop, the area is kept clean.

The quality of residents is gradually decreasing. Feeling like a ghetto. Office and maintenance are a mess. It seems to be the most shitty place in the San Jose area. There are many residents who do not leash their dogs. There are gangster-like kids + losers + party people. The apartment units seem to be of good quality, but if you look closely, they are all cheap. There are no advantages to buying in Santana Row other than the benefits.

Save yourselves the trouble and DO NOT STAY at this place. The management office absolutely sucks especially the resident staff. They got rid of all the nice and polite staff members and replaced them with rude front office staff like Cynthia and even ruder resident Manager Nick. You overpay for this place by a huge margin and then the management office speaks to you like they are doing you a favor in a RUDE and CONDESCENDING way. As an example, we were told that the fire drill would be on Thursday and instead all day Wednesday the fire alarms have been blaring non-stop. When asked they say sorry there were complications and we cannot do anything about it and Oh get this the fire alarms will now go on all day Wednesday and Thursday. And instead of being polite, apologetic and empathizing with the customers, they just shrug and pretend like its not big deal. No customer service, no empathy and plain disdain and a patronizing attitude. The manager before Nick Tran was actually very nice and would atleast hear the customers grievances, but not Nick. He did not even ask me to freakin' sit down. No manners, poor hiring and even poorer training resulting in a below average team that is just interested in your lease monies. Unless you have money to throw and don't mind poor service and rude individuals stay away.
