    Lesson learned: have everything in WRITING with this scam company. I called HomeGuard to initiate a claim. I paid $75 deductible for a technician to come out, who recommended replacing the device. On the phone, HomeGuard denied the claim saying the device is not covered by the policy, even though the policy clearly states it's covered. So I filed a complaint to CA Department of Insurance. Guess what? HomeGuard now altered the facts and made up the following: "in the initial call, I reported that the device stopped working before my policy started (aka before escrow closed)". The fact is I absolutely did NOT say that! Home inspection report stated it was working and I also made it very clear in my initial call that the device was working after we moved in. But because I initiated the claim on the phone as opposed to online, now it's hard to prove HomeGuard is lying. This scam experience made me lose faith even in my realtor who chose HomeGuard.

    Bought a policy for a client. Shortly after they moved in heat quit working Thankgiving weekend, Homeguard said they didnt have anyone available, client could call a local company and homeguard would pay. Local company came out, gave clients a $10,000. estimate. Homeguard sent another repairman out, fixed the unit with screw driver and ordered a part. Funny thing, when I bought the policy for my client Homeguard never ran my card for payment. During the repairs Homeguard phoned me and asked if they could run my card, this act makes it hard for me to believe all the negative ratings this company is getting.

    I never write reviews ! My agent referred me to this company for my warranty. I got the best package they give. I called for months to get something looked at they take forever to send someone. Then give you the worst replacement. As well as Lennet has the absolute worst attitude Ive ever ever ever heard in my life. In customer service. It was like she was paying for the fixes in my home for how mad she was. Im all for dont work somewhere you hate. Go get a better job and some more education. Or dont work in customer service. Im a real estate agent myself and was going to give this company business. No longer will I do that as I would hate to have this company make my clients dislike me and never work with me again.
