I used to go here back when it opened I was one of the first students and when the school first opened they only had one grade which was 5th grade. Back then they did have good education I'm not sure about now staff might have changed, but it was one of the places that left me scarred. Not only did I get bullied verbally but also physically, and as much as I reported this and had constant meetings with my parents and the bullies family nothing ever changed, they never reinforced or checked in to see if anything had changed. I stayed all throughout 6th grade because my sister was coming in, and I got bullied two years constantly. One specific time was when I was playing tetherball, the person that was bullying hit me with the tetherball in the stomach on purpose and knocked the air out, I was not able to breathe but luckily that same year was when my sister had joined and she was able to inform a teacher, I eventually got my air back, but the girls never got punished. It was so bad to the point where I had to leave the school. I don't know why staff & admin never did anything. We told everyone the teacher the principal but nothing ever happened. I really regret going to this school, I do not hold anything against my bullies they may have been going through rough times as well and I didn't know, I am now in 12th grade I don't really recommend this school other than education but as I said its been years.

I am going to write an honest review stating my experience here (being as honest as they deserve) in the intention of helping future Middle Schoolers/Parents who are looking for a good education, caring teachers, and/or a fun charter school. I can't even express how many students got punishments on a daily basis including me.The punishment system was really stubborn(we would get calls home over pretty much everything and 98% of them were negative ones, the education system led me to remember nothing and hardly anything even useful. I would say the teachers hate their jobs because of the ways student misbehave due to the boredom and rules. Muchover, despite the funding the school would receive, the things they would spend it on was budgeted to save money for who knows what. Being a new school shouldn't even be an excuse because I now realize what a good school would put their funding into consideration for their students. Heartwood would be a better option if you wanted tbh. 2 stars is a genuinely too nice. 1 star is overdoing it
