    Michelle and her team were wonderful in their "day of coordination" which enabled us to enjoy the event without worrying about anything. Michelle helped us come up with and manage the timeline, followed up with our vendors proactively and gave some good suggestions for saving the costs. We opted for Silver headband package with some add-ons.

From the first contact months prior to the wedding till even after the wedding was over, Michelle was very is easy to work with. She is very professional, organized, and quick to answer. From the planning months prior to your event, to coordinating the day of to make sure everything is set up and ready to go, to making sure the event is running smooth and everyone is enjoying. You can rely on Michelle and her team to get the job done. I would highly recommend Lavender Crown Events for any event.

    Hiring Michelle and Lavender Crown to plan and coordinate our May 2023 wedding was one of the best decisions I made. In the end, she saved us tons of time on vendor research, helped us secure good pricing, and saved the day when the DJ arrived unprepared two hours before the wedding. Every vendor she recommended worked out wonderfully. Before: Michelle's transparency in comparison to other wedding planners really drew me to LC. She's transparent about her pricing and availability (it's all on her website) which made things easier for me from the start. Our first conversation was in July 2022. I ran into some serious delays with securing the contract for our venue and didn't end up signing withthem until October. During those months, she checked in with me but was never pushy. Once I finally received the venue contract, she graciously reviewed the contract for me, delivered feedback, and refunded me the fee for that once I signed a contract with LC. During: My fiance and I met with Michelle monthly and she got us on track quickly. She was always patient with our questions and followed through with everything that she promised in meetings. She quickly helped us source a caterer, hair and makeup artist, and florist which saved so much time and themultiple options she provided assured us that we weren't overpaying. Before booking with her, I'd gotten a quote from a caterer for $18k and she sent me several more reasonable options. She made sure we were on track with vendor deposits and final payments and helped us track our budget as we went. We got nervous as the day approached, but her even-keeled outlook really reassured us. We felt like we were in good hands. At the rehearsal, she basically herded cats as our hyper-social group navigated their way to the ceremony site, but she handled it with grace and was super awesome with our 4-year-old flower girl. Michelle went above and beyond to help us in many ways, like giving advice for our welcome party and which makeup artist to request from the company we'd contracted with. She also advised us on how to save transaction fees when setting up a honeymoon fund. On the day of the wedding, Michelle brought an extra coordinator so we had a full and wonderful team working to make sure everything ran smoothly. She navigated uncertain weather and put out a huge fire when the DJ came unprepared. She was able to secure a generator at the last minute so that we could go ahead with the outdoor ceremony that we'd been planning, even when the DJ refused to help come up with a solution. Thankfully, everything went smoothly from that point on and our guests were able to enjoy everything. Michelle's team helped with so many little details that I know would have been lost without them. My husband credits them with saving the day and making sure details weren't missed. After: She was easy to get in touch with for a debrief in the days after the wedding and showed that she's really committed to making sure couples had a satisfying day. I highly recommend LC's services, especially planning if you can swing it, as it sets Michelle up for coordinating success very well and gives her extra time to get to know your vision/vendors/plans. Michelle is flexible, reliable, solutions-oriented, calm in a crisis, and easy to work with - all the things every couple needs in a wedding planner. Hannah, her lead coordinator, is incredibly sweet. Coordinators Yesenia and Kim were also great and worked so hard to quickly break down the ceremony site and pack up the ballroom after the reception at the end of the night. They helped us gather all the leftover food, gifts, and florals to take home. LC is top of the line in value. Thank you Michelle for working hard for months to make our big day special.

    Michelle was absolutely phenomenal throughout the whole process. Her attention to detail, organization skills and networking connections are unmatched and she made our wedding day better than we could have imagined. I was initially reluctant to get a wedding planner but I can sincerely say that reaching out to Lavender Crown Events was one of the best decisions that we made while planning our wedding. Michelle is worth her weight in gold and in my opinion under charging for her services. I cannot recommend Michelle and Lavender Crown Events highly enough.

    Thousands of dollars in mistakes were made on our wedding day. It's taken me since June to write this review because it's so disappointing to think about. In our intro calls Michelle acted as if she would be the one at my wedding, answering specific personal questions about her experience handling various situations and assuring that she personally could handle our wedding. A couple months later she told me that someone else I'd never met would actually be the coordinator for my wedding. I felt misled so she sent me a partial refund and added an extra 'helper.' She also told me she'd still attend the setup portion of my event to make sure it went well and ensure these two new girls would be OK. I felt uneasy about the situation, but proceeded. About a month before the event, I felt like my planning documents hadn't been reviewed properly and I wasn't feeling reassured that Michelle and the other two girls were on the same page with what I had laid out (I sent them the plan 3 months in advance). One night, I was so anxious I couldn't sleep, and I emailed Michelle late at night to tell her about my concerns. She reassured me that they had reviewed it extensively and there was nothing to worry about. I should have trusted my gut because I was right. Michelle never came to my event, saying she had COVID that day, but when I called her to discuss the issues going on, I could hear an event in the background and it was clear she was never planning on being there to help set up. About 20% of my wedding was set up when my mom arrived (at that point it should have been 80% done), and she had to call my entire family, the groomsmen, and all of my bridesmaids to come help set up- all sweating in their black tie tuxedos and long gowns, with makeup and hair all done up. Our setup map wasn't followed, which they assured me in the walk-through the day prior that she understood, but she was also on tinder during our walkthrough so that should have been a sign of her priorities. Everything that was set up was on completely wrong lawns and set up wrong. It's no exaggeration, even the altar was completely across the lawn on the other side. All of the empty boxes of decor and supplies were supposed to be set up on the side yard out of sight (the venue has a special side yard for this purpose), instead they were thrown in the main historical house that guests were supposed to be able to tour (they couldn't tour it because boxes, some still full of my stuff that never was set up, were everywhere- it looked horrible.) So many of the small details we put into our wedding weren't set up. This includes our card box, custom napkins, custom guest book (very disappointing to not have this memory now), custom glass cocktail straws, personalized gifts for each of the kids chairs, gifts for our parents and grandparents, and more. Regarding catering, Michelle assured me that the wedding coordinators would oversee that the setup was done correctly on the tables, and everything laid out as agreed upon. Instead, the wedding coordinator instructed the caterer to not put out champagne glasses on the table (not only did I pay for champagne glasses, but when our toasts happened and they said, raise your champagne glass for toasts, no one had one...), no wine glasses were put out and no one passed passed wine (both I paid extra for), no water was poured, no bread put out on the bread plates (so the bread plate sat there empty). All of this was planned and explicitly laid out in the document Michelle assured me she personally reviewed and everything was good to go... Because so many mistakes were made and it was a complete disaster, yes Michelle did send a refund. I'd rather have paid the money for a good job and the work, time, money, and effort that I put into the wedding not be wasted. I love my husband and our family/friends made sure we had fun despite the circumstances, but it is not something I'd want any other bride to experience after so much thought, time, and money put into a once in a lifetime event.
