This is officially my first review, and honestly I wouldnt think in a million years I would be leaving one for a fast-food fried chicken joint. But my family was on the tail end of a week long road trip, we just decided to pull off in Stockton, I figured Popeyes would have chicken fingers so it seemed like a safe choice. I was blown away with the quality of my chicken sandwich, if was at a restaurant it would have cost 3 to 4 times as much. The chicken was crispy on the outside, perfectly moist on the inside and hanging over the buttery brioche bun, the spicy mayo had a subtle kick. I got the Cajun fries, only thing missing was an ice cold beer. Kids loves their fries and tenders. Wife got the same as me but with red number an and rice on the side which was also on point. Beyond the food, the space was clean and inviting. The standout was the service. We were taking a while to figure out what we wanted ( never been there before ) and sometimes you feel the pressure to just hurry up and order, the man at the register had a warm smile and was incredibly patient ( you could tell he meant it when he said take your time.) He explained the sides, offered a reco and even stopped by our table to check on us. Total pro, service like this is rare, especially in fast food. If I ever go back through Im definitely stopping by again Kid-friendliness: Patient service

Update: Saturday, April 6, 2024 PM Dine in Chicken strips were OK because I asked for them to be cooked hot and fresh. They were pretty small. The chicken wings shouldve been thrown in the GARAGE and not served. They were ridiculously hard and barely warm. Inedible Coleslaw and mashed potatoes were OK. No diet soda! Broken! - Update: Monday, November 21, 2022 Definitely had a good experience tonight. I ordered the five piece tenders with mashed potatoes and gravy and a strawberry lemonade. Asked for the tenders to be cooked fresh and they were! A shout out to John, the area manager. last time my experience at Popeyes was not stellar and I responded to their request for feedback. John reached out to me and said they would make it right. They did! And from what I understand, John is an awesome manager. Thanks, John, for keeping the ship afloat. Youve restored my faith in Popeyes. P/S the strawberry lemonade is awesome! - Update: Saturday, July 16, 2022 Popeyes delivery via DoorDash. Mediocre! Items are barely warm and soggy by the time theyre delivered. They forgot the condiments that I had ordered. I abhor delivery services! Its just a matter of convenience otherwise I would never use them. The DoorDash driver made another delivery before he delivered mine. In the meantime my order was sitting in his car getting cold and soggy! I dont recommend Popeyes delivery. I dont recommend delivery services at all!Update: Friday, April 29, 2022 Deducting one star tonight. I requested the chicken be hot and fresh and it was. Thank you for that. Hot mashed potatoes with the giblet gravy Yummy! Thank you for that. The employees are friendly, efficient and helpful. Special kudos to Elizabeth! Thank you for that. Negative #1 Out of coleslaw Negative #2 very weak iced tea. Like water with a little bit of tan color. Negative #3 The two lights above my table kept flashing on and off. Very very annoying. Felt like I was being interrogated. Be sure to use a coupon when you come here. Youll save several dollars. Either the coupons from the junk mail in the mail every week or from their app online. Its worth it! ****************** Had the best experience I ever had at Popeyes tonight! I opted to dine in. Ordered the classic chicken sandwich with extra pickles and mayo and also chicken nuggets. Asked that my entire order be cooked hot and fresh. And it was! Also ordered a side of their mashed potatoes with gravy. I love their mashed potatoes with the giblet gravy! Everything was hot and fresh. The chicken bites were tender and juicy! A little bit more breading than I prefer but it was crunchy and tasty. The chicken sandwich was on point. Soft potato bun. Large white meat chicken breast! Just the right amount of pickles and mayo. I was there a little bit after the dinner hour so it was not very busy inside but there was quite a line in the drive-through. I did not get the cashiers name but she was a very nice young lady that listen carefully to my order and it came out perfectly. The receipt says her name Clayborne? Im glad this was a good experience tonight. The last couple times I was there was a bit disappointing. This visit restored my faith and I will probably be back soon!
