I stayed here for three nights and the very first morning I wake up to loud construction work directly outside my room at 8am - literally there are workers tearing up the carpeting to replace the flooring. I was given no forewarning about this ahead of time from the staff. The next morning the workers started their work at 7:30am. Ive never experienced something like this at a hotel, totally bizarre. I managed to laugh at the absurdity. but on day 2 there was actually carpet glue all over the floor in the morning and I was asked not to leave my room by one of the workers. Thankfully I didnt need to catch a flight or be anywhere right away, but if I did, it would not have been nearly as laughable. Adding a video here for context. Also - whenever I have to purchase something as simple as a bottle of water from the convenience store in the lobby, it takes the staff member at least two minutes to ring me up. In most cases I am used to just saying hey - put it on room 342 thank you and Im out of there. Instead, it takes them very long to approve any transaction and its unclear to me why. Also every day of my stay my room cards stop working and I need to replace them with new ones at the front desk. The positive note Ill add is that the bed is comfy and I got a solid nights rest albeit the morning construction. & truthfully at the end of the day the construction isnt the end of the world, it just would have been nice for the staff to let me know ahead of time and book me and my team on a different floor.
