Pay in cash. The clerk didn't tell me that they will not refund the $50 deposit on my credit card if I don't give them the credit card when I leave. No one was at the desk when I checked out, so I left town. They refused to refund my deposit, saying that they need to put the card in the machine. I've stayed in many other motels: those motels just refund your deposit. Either American Inn doesn't know how to use their credit card machine or they just routinely steal money from people. Neither is good.

Nice Motel to stay for a night on your Roadtrip.
24/7 office, clean sheets and good rooms for a motel. Nice extras like a microwave and a refrigerator in room 212. The shower was great.
The pool side is currently closed due to maintenance (may 2023).
We've paid for a room with king size bed 80$. I wouldn't recommend to walk around the area by night. Some creeps and homeless people there but all together great experience.
Rooms: Good rooms with nice extras. Clean bathroom and good bed.
Safety: Office is open 24hrs a day but wouldn't go outside a lot.
