Scam insurance. They have agreed to contract with major insurances to get 100bucks per client per year to have your HVAC covered for electrical or mechanical failure only to not cover anything at all no matter what. The rep adjuster from the company, Nancy Reeves in Houston, TX, even told me they usually dont cover anything except for the rare lightning strike and power surge. My system had multiple things failing and the right thing to do was replace the system, but of course they made up excuses for why they couldnt cover. A lawyer needs to get on to this company and hold them liable for fraud.

This company is a joke! I had a lightning strike which caused furnace and A.C.damage. They ran me around for months, would not respond to calls, texts or emails. Finally my insurance agent got through and found out that they denied the claim because they dont cover lightning damage. Why I wasnt told this when I filed the claim instead of waiting 5 months is odd. Im definitely dropping this coverage, it is useless. HSB is a terrible company, they just wont pay your claim, if the decide to you better be prepared to wait it out. Horrible experience, horrible customer service, horrible company.
