        Loved the History but the only thing they got wrong is that Ms Harriett would never celebrate pride & have these kinda things around her cause her husband was a well known Christian man this is so unacceptable & showing our kids these kinda things & it's not about acceptance especially in the Christian community I will never visit these kinda places again they have ruined History with these horrible stuff it's not about the ugly stuff of pride it's about her History & they are turning Connecticut into a clown show it's sad

      Harriet Beecher Stowe identified as a deeply Christian woman who also recognized the injustice of treating her fellow human beings as lesser than or unworthy. One of her motivations to write Uncle Tom's Cabin, her bestselling anti-slavery novel, was her concern at the number of ordained ministers who preached in favor of enslavement. In the spirit of Harriet, who pushed herself to speak out against oppression, the Stowe Center is committed to creating space that welcomes and celebrates all.
