Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dover, an IHG Hotel

We really enjoyed this hotel. Check in was a breeze, the room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was very quiet and convenient. I am taking off a star however because of the large amount of Styrofoam and plastic used at the breakfast service which will for sure just end up in a landfill. This hotel (and apparently Holiday Inn) need to think a bit more proactively on environmental matters. There are disposable yet biodegradable options available for cups, bowls, etc..

My stay was very nice and convenient. I had to extend my stay and the front desk attendant ,Alissa, was very accommodating and super kind. The room was perfect for me. Rooms: I requested a handicapped accessible room with walk in shower. Was perfect with the grab bars for the toilet as well Nearby activities: I was there to visit with a family member in the hospital and it was very convenient to drive a short distance. Also the Dover Speedway was very close as well. Many restaurants and shopping stores were within a mile or two of this location Walkability: There was a McDonalds and a Wendys within easy walking distance Food & drinks: Breakfast was good especially the cinnamon rolls. My only wish was that there was the individual peanut butter packs to have with my toast or banana.

Here on business, people very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Rooms clean and quiet along with the property well lit and maintained. Pleasure to be here on business.

We booked almost last minute, and needed a place about half way between to destinations. This Holiday Inn was WONDERFUL! Although on a highway, it sat way back so there was no noise at all. Also easy fast food restaurants very close as well as some nice ones. We settled on an Irish pub about 6 mi south. The hotel had a very nice young man for check in named Vincent. And check out was also a very nice lady named Allison. The hotel rooms were renovated and extremely nice. Clean and comfortable as well. We would definitely stay here again if needed and highly recommend. Oh, also parking ample and it was very quiet in the hallways. Rooms: Stated rooms were clean and renovated. Bed very comfortable. Lots of lighting, plugs, and very large TV. On 4th Fl shower was not quite as hot as we would like it but it was ok. Food & drinks: Breakfast was free and ample choices.
