The ONLY reason to stay here is access to McPherson Metro station which is located directly across the street. The employees are extremely rude and good luck getting your room serviced. They only service rooms every other day and although we checked in on a Thursday they still didnt want to clean our room on Saturday. Stay elsewhere

First time and last time we are staying here. Easy checked in, nice people checked us in. Room service is not great, first day was okay and second day we waited 3 hours for our food. Employees giving attitude to my husband just because he went downstairs to ask why it was taking so long? We tried to call but there was no answer. It was so bad, that the Executive Chef came to our room to apologize, Danny Narvaez, the true MVP. He was embarrassed and apologetic and we all agreed that this is not "Hilton Standard". Overall, the room was nice but, customer service is terrible. We will call room service and/or front desk, and we will have to call several times before someone answer or at times, they will put you on hold right away. We payed for certain kind of service. Never again. Disappointed.

My family and I chose this hotel due to its proximity to the White House. It is also close enough to walk to the Washington monument and many other attractions, shops, and restaurants. Our first night we paid for a room called "City View". This is a pretty deceptive name, as the only city we could see from the window was the even higher skyscraper right across the street. The room is noisy; every fire engine or ambulance that passes sounds like its inside the room. The room is listed as a king room that sleeps 3, whereas their normal king rooms only say they sleep 2. Once in the room, I'm not sure where they expected the 3rd person to sleep, as there was only the 1 bed. The hotel does offer rollaway beds if you ask, but again, the room is priced higher for something you're not getting automatically. The website and our reservation showed that breakfast was included for our stay but when I asked the front desk I was told the hotel didn't offer this service... but that she was removing the charge "for my convenience". Breakfast itself is quite good and I recommend it if you do stay. They also have a daily self serve coffee bar you can use that's free with coffee, tea, and a few different creams. Our last 2 nights we stayed in a double queen room which was much more comfortable, still no view, but facing a different wall so it was quieter. There's a great little shop next to check-in with drinks and snacks and grab-and-go items you can buy or charge to your room without waiting for an associate. The restaurant that serves the breakfast is also open at night for dinner. It is not cheap. Food was ok; we really liked the spinach dip. My kids got salmon and a cheeseburger. Both looked decent. My chicken was completely raw in the middle so all I ate was fries and the spinach dip appetizer. Service was very friendly but slow. There were only about 3 or 4 tables in the whole place. We rarely saw our server (no refills etc), and food took about an hour to receive. There was some kind of mixup with my overall hotel bill, where somehow i was charged nearly double for our stay. The staff at the front desk reviewed my invoice and did all they could to figure out the issue. I appreciate all their help, and as of today it appears they have taken care of the over-charges. We had a good trip overall. I just recommend that if you stay here, you thoroughly read all your agreements and invoices and don't be afraid to say something if it seems off.
