Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC

Have visited many times and we love the eclectic decor. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Food and drink are stellar! The free Happy hour offered is so nice. Love it. Rooms: High ceilings, very clean, smell nice, nice bathrooms, just lovely decor. Bathrobes are fun! Nearby activities: You can walk to a multitude of DC activities. Safety: I have always felt perfectly safe at the hotel and walking in the area. Noteworthy details: We received a text when we arrived in our room, checking that everything was okay and making themselves available by text for questions, love that!

Top notch hotel only 12 min quick walk to the convention center. Kierra was so helpful with a room mixup and also giving us recommendations for restaurants. This was the original Post office and has soaring ceilings, tall windows and gorgeous details galore. Enjoyed the coffee bar in the morning and wine in the afternoon. Across from the Portrait Gallery Museum. Loved it!

Great experience, interesting rooms but overall the staff made the experience excellent. Nearby activities: Right next to Chinatown and the Capitals Stadium Walkability: Walking distance to museums, shopping and great restaurants

Let me start by saying, Im very picky when it comes to hotels/rooms. This place exceeded all expectations. Size of rooms were great, service up front was great from valet, to front desk great service. Located near china town, we could throw a rock and hit capital one arena most everything including museums was walking distance Rooms: Rooms were great, super spacious, had great view of street, and people up front made everything that much better Nearby activities: Museums and monuments walking distance of about 20 minutes Safety: Cops at almost every block. We saw bike/beat/motorcycle cops in our short stay in DC Walkability: From hotel china town was super close, 20 minute walk to all museums and monuments Which beats driving around dc. Cabs are seldom and Uber are high in that area. Food & drinks: All types of food was in walking distance. Bar located inside of hotel was nice .
