They took the time to come to my home and spend a couple hours on the proposal. It was comprehensive and the estimator was very helpful. As soon as they sent the quote, its been radio silence. They dont answer emails or phone calls, someone reached out by text to ask if I was ready to proceed and what he could do to help, and even he has ignored every communication. Based on this experience, would absolutely not recommend

Mark did an inspection on my homes crawlspace. He was thorough and explained our options to us in depth so we could understand. I appreciate the time he took with us.

I had another company first come to give me an estimate for an issue with water getting in to my basement; then I had Jay from JES come. The first company immediately jumped into a $20K solution for the basement area without pinpointing a cause of the leak. Jay on the other hand helped me pinpoint a specific issue with a leaking pipe penetration. He made we aware of a simpler, cheaper remediation that I could consider. He did make me aware of the more expensive solutions to better protect my basement in a broader way but didn't start with that. This honestly is greatly appreciated.

JES is undoubtedly the worst company I have ever contracted for any home improvement project. From the beginning of our basement repair in August, we have been met with poor communication from the administrative teams and TWO crew no shows of that had to be rescheduled (at the cost of my vacation days) to complete work. I regret ever contacting them for this project and could not in good conscience recommend their services in the future.

Inadequate engineering design, and incomplete work. They Left the addition of my parents house sitting with no foundation because they never raised the jack and left it sitting that way for months. They non-responsive to calls and run away with about $10000 dollars for a contract they stated was engineered incorrectly. my parents are elderly, my dad is a purpleheart veteran with mobility issues and my mom is two-time breast cancer survivor. They need ADA work on their house and this foundation issue has been going on since May 2023 making it unable to make the adjustments to their house. JES ALSO HAD A SALES PERSON BY THE NAME OF RON W. call and threaten my parents for final payment, although they knew they had failed THE DC Department of Building, Inspection by DC. Luckily, my dad had already been instructed not to pay by the city. Now my parents house has been deemed dangerous because of the incomplete work and their failure to address their two failed inspections. We have tried several times to work through the project issues, including having their production manager Jeff, and his construction supervisor, Demetrius, in our home to show them the additional damage to the house. We were told three weeks ago they would get back to us with the corrections to our foundation design. To date, we have been ghosted. No stars.
