Ocean Sky Hotel & Resort

Weve been staying here for years; twice yearly. This year has taken a drastic turn for the worse. So many new young people working here that dont have a clue about hospitality. A young guy in the restaurant was so unhelpful when I asked for just hot water. Wanted to charge for it (I brought cups from my room). In the past theyve given me water for my tea w no issue. He said I could not even use the sugar packs which in past theyve said to go ahead and use anything I need. Pool area was playing very loud hip hop rap music. WTH? That is the opposite of relaxing. This was in the morning. And I dont think the staff is supposed to bring their entire family after work to use the pool and hot tub. Ten kids on a hot tub that are not guests. Just inappropriate all across the board. We wont be staying here anymore.

The staff is very nice, but the overall experience was not impressive. Priceline has this hotel as a 4 star but I would rate it as a 2 star hotel. The rooms are outdated, tv selection is horrible and it is very loud all day. Its hard to relax when construction is going on next door. I also love being woke up at 7 because the landscaper are working on the property. The bar closes super early and the drinks are overpriced. But that really is just the area in general. $20 for parking a night, better off going to the hotel next door because it is $15. I would recommend that the hotel works on the experience of the guest and not how much money they make. I would never come back to this hotel.
