One of the most challenging jobs a Captain in the yachting industry has to deal with, is a yard period. Especially these days in South Florida with all the crooked and greedy contractors out there. American Marine Repair is actually one of the good ones! We recently had the opportunity to work with American Marine Repair (AMR) during our shipyard visit at Lauderdale Marine Center in Ft. Lauderdale on our 115 Aluminum hull motor-yacht. We originally hired another well know company for our various welding and ABS class plumbing repairs but we got off to a very rocky start with that particular company and decided to halt their projects. Fortunately, we were introduced to the team at AMR by our management company. AMR was able to immediately visit our vessel and provide a comprehensive and detailed estimate within 24 hours and began the projects very shortly afterwards. Quotes from the other company took 9 days+ to receive. As opposed to the other company every employee at AMR was very professional, highly skilled, organized and happy to be there. Every question or concern I had during the project was immediately answered or resolved by the on site project manager, who was also one of the smartest mechanical technicians Ive ever had the pleasure to work with. AMR even offered to help me with some small other additional work leftover from the mess the other company left behind and refused to finish. The job was finished on time, as promised , and as quoted which is something that usually NEVER happens in the marine industry in Ft. Lauderdale. I will 100% be using AMR again for any of my future yard projects, especially if they involve very large metal fabrication jobs. Captain Tyler Harris

Just can't state well enough how this team took care of our needs. We had our stern tubes replaced and some hull plate replacement done. We, in the yachting industry have a hard time finding companies that don't come in and make an absolute mess of the boat. Even though this kind of work generates so much of a mess, they were as good as they could be in keeping everything from being covered in grinding and welding debris. Also, as other necessary projects came up, even though they were busy, they found a way to get us taken care of. I don't know of a company I would recommend more. By the way, the Stern tube replacement was terrific. Cudos to American Marine.

My first review, I usually stay below the radar but Scott and his crew went above and beyond and helped us immensely. They fish and understood everything I needed and turned it before we left the dock. Fairly Priced Too.
