Residence Inn by Marriott Jacksonville Downtown

Very good hotel. Totally recommend. Free breakfast, spacious rooms, and a good location. I stayed here overnight for a roadtrip, and it was very nice. While we stayed, at about 7:30 on the morning the fire alarms went off because of smoke from the kitchen. The staff handled it very well, and nobody can help the smoke alarms going off. Very good hotel to stay at overall!

This Residence Inn on Oak Street in Jacksonville, FLorida has two of the most rude and apathetic reception desk staff I have ever encountered. There is no excuse for poor customer service. The kitchen is sub-par as there is only a two burner stove top; no oven. The pots had burned on food. My clothes got stuck in one of the washers for over an hour and a maintenance person had to come remove them. Someone burned something in the kitchen which set off a fire alarm and we had to evacuate the building at 7:00am. The location is good except that two of the streets that border the property are slum-like. For over $200 per night, this Residence Inn was a huge disappointment. Believe the good reviews at your own risk. I wish I had not.

Great location and everyone is friendly. Room was clean and had all. Only complaints was no water area, bring water, and coffee machine was broken. Would stay again. Rooms: Big and clean Food & drinks: Convenience store but no water stations which would expect

Perfect for business travelers and families. Each room has a full size refrigerator and equipped kitchen. Spacious. Also the room comes with a free full breakfast including homemade omelets and pancakes. Walkability: Hotel is walkable to local restaurants in 5 points and The Riverwalk.
