Elevator isnt working so guests have to use neighbors home wood suites. Front desk suggested walking across to adjacent building or using stairs for 6th floor room. Room wasnt serviced for 2 days. Noisy

Stayed 2 weeks ago while in the Jacksonville area. Front desk manager and staff were friendly, the hotel is close to some great restaurants and venues downtown, but at $299 per night its overpriced & not worth it. I regret booking here and spending $676+ for only 2 nights. Hilton brands are usually my first go-tos (honors member), Ive stayed at much nicer Hilton properties that were much more reasonable (I.e$150-$250 per night!). The hotel looks nice on the outside, but the inside is VERY worn, dark & dreary. Only 1 of two elevators worked most of the weekend. The room had chipped up furniture everywhere, dusty plantation shutters, tables and fixtures. The carpet in the room was very worn. The bathroom floor grout was gross & dirty. The shower floor/tile was so disgusting (I went & bought flip flops to shower in because I didnt want my feet to touch it) and the build up on the shower knobs was horrific. The parking is $20 a night in a city owned parking garage next door to the hotel; there were homeless people hanging out around it, a little scary & intimidating. Train tracks must be nearby because throughout the night/early morning they were whistling constantly. Im baffled by the positive reviews. In conclusion, I definitely would NOT stay here again. Rooms: Outdated, worn/chipped furnishings and carpet, unclean bathrooms, dusty. Nearby activities: Nice restaurants nearby. Safety: Homeless people hanging out around the parking garage, scary. For $20 per night & considering the crowd hanging around there should be security.
