Sorry but this could have been better. After purchasing home owners insurance and flood insurance during a home purchase ( which went exactly according to plan), I came back for boat insurance. I was greeted well and promised a quote immediately. Sounded good. Didnt receive anything, so called back to see if I missed it. Nope, it was forgotten. Request resurrected. Received quote. Already using that company for another boat, 3 ATVs and a recreational toy hauler. Was ok with quote. Provided my CC for full- year payment and said go , as the boat was already in my possession and represented a $40,000 risk, if lost. Come to find out 3days later, the coverage was never bound, due to a $30 question about effective date vs binding date? And I was left uncovered? After clearly providing the go ahead? Still took 5 days and several iterations to get the application information correct- all without a single apology. Needed the coverage, so is what it is. I think I did my part to make the process easy, by saying YES, providing full payment AND Copies of the title(s) to get the boat hull length, proper model, and accurate motor and boat trailer information on the electronic application. I have 3 homes ( other cities) and my other agent handles everything with a single phone call- maybe Im spoiled by this level of service.
