About a year ago, I noticed some white stuff on a piece I had in climate controlled storage. Thought maybe it was dust even though it looked and smelled like mold. Started to downsize more in the unit this summer and a wooden piece had the same dust that looked like bread mold. Come to find out, everything that wasnt sealed in a box or in airtight bags had this mold on it. No leak in my unit. Associate at the front desk was beyond nice and thorough. Went to check, tried to get a solution for future customers. She was amazing- she gets five stars! In the end was told by management to make a claim with the insurance carrier for the unit. Nothing in the unit was worth top dollar money, mostly sentimental things, but it is a little concerning the solution wasnt let us check it out, and try to fix the problem but rather to just try to get insurance money and move on. I paid a nice amount for an indoor climate controlled unit specifically to avoid this issue in the Florida heat. There are two other larger indoor storage units companies that may charge a little more in close distance to this one that I would check out first if you need climate controlled storage. The money is worth knowing your stuff is safe if you need it to be climate controlled. If you are doing outdoor units for cars or boats or things that you might keep in a garage Im sure this place is fine. The front desk staff has been very lovely the few times Ive gone in.
