The room is ok. The service at the reception could be better considering the premium rates being charged for the rooms. I'll not stay here again.

Managed to score a free upgrade from the JW Marriott and can confirm it is lovely up there. I do love the Marriott as well but this is really nice because it feels much more cozy and personalized. The rooms are very nice and I loved being on the 39th floor down the hall from the restaurant and front desk. The Atelier restaurant is nice enough and I managed to have a free meal and drink per the resort fee and drink tickets they gave me. Again, the location of the hotel is ideal IMO as it is so close to everything. I basically dont need to use a car as I can bike/walk to most things including the beach.

Room: Rooms are spacious, but so are the ones at the JW Marriott. The room also boasts premium sound, but little else to differentiate. The room itself has a coffee machine, but it's your typical hotel room coffee (not a Nespresso or something more premium). Lounge access: Contrary to the Marriott app and previous reviews, this hotel does NOT allow you to access to JW Marriott lounge regardless of status. The Beaux Arts operates as an independent hotel, so even though some facilities are shared (fitness center, spa), the lounge is not. In lieu of lounge access, guests are given the option of 7500 points or breakfast in the atelier on the 39th floor. The atelier functions as a paid bar and small breakfast area, and also allows you to order room service up during opening hours. No free soda or coffee machine. During check-in, we overheard another couple arguing with the staff about how the Marriott app clearly listed lounge access, so I suspect this is a recurring issue. The staff mentioned that they were in the process of removing the reference. This also means that you won't have access to hors d'oeuvres in the evening, a better coffee machine, or a drink fridge. Check-in: I messaged the hotel in the morning and afternoon checking if the room was ready. I arrived around 3pm, and was told the room wasn't ready yet. When I was called back to check in at 4, I was handed a piece of paper about a water-shutoff planned for 11:45pm that night "so I wouldn't be surprised." While the water shutoff was behind the hotel's control, it did feel like they were operating in bad faith by not telling guests about the issue until it was too late. I would have stayed in another area to avoid dealing with this - especially on a weekend. The water ended up shutting off closer to 10:30pm, and we were unable to shower that night. At breakfast, we spoke to other guests who had the same experience. When the water came back on, the design of the faucets made it spray dirty water all over the bathroom. Breakfast: After complaining about being unable to shower, the manager made an exception for me to use the JW Marriott lounge for breakfast on my last morning. The breakfast at the JW Marriott is significantly better than the atelier. Even the way the atelier sets up its stations is unnecessarily cheap (about a dozen blueberries on a small plate, with a small spoon to pick them up). Staff: The staff at the JW Marriott seemed much better trained and empowered. Seemed to be a cultural difference. Every interaction I had with a JW Marriott employee was pleasant. Facilities: Pool and fitness center were nice, as was the spa. The other facilities are paid by the hour (basketball court, bowling...) Elevators: Some "hotel within a hotel" offer a separate elevator to get up to the hotel lobby or rooms. The Beaux Arts does not. The elevators also seem to be set up to minimize the number of active elevators, so you end up making many stops. Overheard two sets of people complain about this. I definitely chose not to go back up for stuff because I knew it would be 5 or 10 minutes round trip. If I returned to the property, I would probably opt to stay at the JW Marriott instead.
