        Uneven campsite with cracked and broken blacktop and concrete made it a trip hazard. The noisy construction yard was at our back, the so-called grass at our site was covered with ash and charcoal bits from old campfires . It needs a lot of clean up

        We came back to this location with my family for a weekend getaway. We loved the last time we were in KOA St Pete, for the amenities and the service. We reserved a two months in advance for our second trip at a waterfront access area. We were unfortunately advised that the pool was going to be closed down due to reconstruction. We unfortunately could not change our dates. As the date approached we were then informed only a few days before our trip that we would also have no waterfront access and would be blocked off- as you can see in the photo. The day arrived and we were well received at the gates from our late night check in and was guided to our cite which was wonderful. In the morning, we met with Brooklyn in the front office and she was delightful, great personality and very informative. However, we were disappointed that there was no compensation for the inconvenience that we were told of having no pool or waterfront access which is what one is paying for. So although the staff was great, the facilities restrooms were nice and clean, their hospitality for inconveniences were unfortunate and disappointing.
