Quality Inn Saint Petersburg North-Tampa Bay

Stayed 3/22/24-3/24/24 (fri-sun) Rooms were nicer than they were before, housekeeping was good at getting dirty towels and bringing me ones. The reason for the low score is because of the "general manager" as she said she was. My step dad got me a room using his points. I had car issues and had to use Uber using the security deposit which apparently was $100,, I thought it was $40. I had to call him and let the Mgr talk to him on the phone. She basically didn't want to hear what he had to say, yes he was a little difficult but that's because she kept putting the phone down and not wanting to talk plus it was after 1am. After 10 minutes of that she finally takes his cc number to run the deposit and I let him know it went thru everything was good and hang up. She says to me if it wasn't for your respect I woulda kicked all out,no refund. I checkout on Sunday as I was supposed to, everything was good. Wednesday my mom calls and tells me that the "mgr" went into the hotel system and charged my step dad's account for an extra night and took more points from his account. I said no I checked out on Sunday I have the receipts and the receipt I had from the Uber I has to use to leave the hotel in. And tells my mom I had people in n out of my room the entire time. Not true. It was myself and my one friend the entire weekend. So not sure how she came up with that. Anyways if yall stay there I advise you to keep your receipts and double check your accounts to make sure you're not charged extra cuz that "mgr" is a crook and theif. Taking points and lying about people in my room. Shame on you!

Staff were very friendly and nice. Rooms were decent for the price. The biggest downfall is when someone smokes outside (weed and cigarettes) you can smell it immediately. So strong it woke us up in our sleep. You can hear footsteps above so request top floor if youre a light sleeper. Water coming out from under the floors so wear shoes the entire time. The free breakfast was carbs, juice and yogurt.

The staff was great, always helpful, and responsive to me. The rooms have been remodeled and are very clean. The location was very convenient for visiting family in the area. Be careful, the bathtub is very slippery when taking a shower.
