I retained this firm less than 1 week ago. Already providing me desperately needed direction, responds super fast, even on a Saturday. This is the very beginning of I'm sure a long process, but so far I'm very pleased with making the decision to hire !!

After my moms passing I began having tax/irs problems....now as I sit as a single teacher having her wages garnished I reached out to Larry for clarification and help with the irs I agreed to pay him $500 (which I don't have) Only to spend just 20 minutes on the phone with him to be told he couldn't help me out one bit. I was SHOCKED he actually still chrged me the full amount for 20 minutes of his time with no help whatsoever. Now I am in a worse financial situation because he doesn't care about people, only robbing people of their money. Imagine that....a lawyer ripping people off! Shocker-NOT! Thanks for setting me waaay back Larry. Enjoy your luxury car payment! On me! Jennifer Clarke.....oh...and the word IS spreading to everyone I know. If he has any decency he will refund me. We'll see. 2 years later no refund.... what a POS he is. Word has spread.

My husband had not filed taxes for many, many years prior to our marriage. It really put a strain on us. After interviewing several tax specialists, we decided on Larry because of his years of fixing tax problems and the hope he gave us that we can get back on the right track. His whole team has been wonderful. April, Aimee, Renia and Lisa helped me pull it all together and answered my numerous questions. We still use them as our tax accountants. I know the overwhelming feeling of having major tax issues. I'm so thankful we did it as it has taken a huge load off our shoulders and we can breath again.

Larry & his team have helped me solve many tax problems indeed. His team has helped me through multiple audits and restore a great standing with the IRS. He is not your typical IRS-relief attorney - Larry knows exactly what he's doing, and is an incredible asset for any business owner or entrepreneur to have on their team. My investment in his services has paid itself off greatly -- there's MANY taxes, fees & penalties I would have paid to the IRS if not for Larry knowing how to optimize all these things.
Larry is an honest guy -- he's always been REALLY fair with me on fees. On multiple occasions, Larry will offer a discount or not bill for something just because it's a simple issue. He's not one of these unhappy lawyers just trying to bill you for every minute he can -- he seems to genuinely enjoy helping people navigate their way around the tax world...
He's got a great team in April, Patti & Pete -- I originally engaged Larry for solving some tax problems, but have since started moving all my accounting activities over to his firm. Tax Problem Solvers seems to be the type of firm you want to build a long term relationship with -- they'll treat you fair, perform their jobs well, and be an increasingly valuable resource as they better understand how you & your business/assets work...
I'm really surprised to see anything less than a 5-star review for Larry -- both as a person & professional. He's certainly not comparable to most other tax services you'll see out there. He's not even comparable to other CPAs & accounting firms I've used. But Larry & Tax Problem Solvers is certainly an incredible partner for any business owner or entrepreneur who is looking to either clean up or optimize their tax liabilities...

I reached out to Larry Heinkel because I have a tax debt that was discovered after the death of my husband. I was asked to send a credit card authorization for to be charged A $950 CONSULTATION FEE once the process begins. I received a POA for myself and my deceased husband and the POA was for someone named April Serrano. I emailed Larry because first I cannot sign a POA for my deceased husband, that is illegal and second I don’t know who this April Serrano is. He told me “oh that’s my right hand associate”. That’s great Larry but you send me a POA with some strangers name on it without informing me who this person is and expect me to sign it? He touted his personal attention from him and I had to tell him and his staff many times that my husband was deceased and that was frustrating because it meant that I was just a consult fee to them. His “plan” changed a few times during discussions. His personal consultation turned into a PHONE CALL. When I realized that he expected me to pay $950 for an over the phone consultation I couldn’t believe it. Apparently he saw me as someone who didn’t know any better. Before even sending back the POA I told him I decided to move forward with another attorney I got an email back saying “whatever”. I then asked that they not charge the card and to either mail back the authorization or shred it, I was told they had already charged my card. They did this prior to spending any time on my case. Who knows how soon the refund will be processed, they didn’t show me any proof that they even submitted it. Do yourself a favor...ask “who will be working on my case”, “will my consult be an in person meeting”, and “what does the $950 consult fee cover”?
