First, the staff is good; they were nice, polite, and helpful for check-in and check-out. Aaaand now the rooms Disgusting, floors were not very clean, feel sticky in places, and dirt or debris is definitely noticeable; shower/tub does not drain very well at all; hairs were on the walls in the shower, the sink and counter tops; the room felt damp. The hallways smell like dirty laundry; the carpets are missing in spots; upper floors smell like heavy smokers hang out there. Overall, just disgusting. On the plus side, its a place to stay.

Had a prepaid reservation at this hotel through Expedia. The reservation had been confirmed and fully paid for a month prior to our arrival. After calling the front desk at 3:30Pm and advising them that we would arrive late due to heavy traffic, all was in place and our room was available. We received a call later from a very rude and condescending front desk person advising us that our room reservation has been cancelled due to a hotel overbooking. We were left with no options other than contact Expedia since this is not our problem. Stranded in Tallahassee with no hotel room. The hotel manager did nothing to accommodate me nor my family. Shame on Wyndham Garden Tallahassee Capitol Hotel. No regards for their guests even when the reservation is booked through a third party.
