Spent less than a hour there. The Doctor was awesome. Very attentive and asked lots of questions to diagnose my problem. Excellent care.

I went today for tennis elbow. After going to TOC, they let me know that this TMH urgent care really push all their walk-in patients to other places. That is what nurse practitioner Danielle Mazzotta did. The male nurse taking me back let me know I should've went to the other Urgent care . When I got back she first told me to go to TOC urgent care across the street then sent me out in under 5 minutes of looking at me telling me I may have a blood clot and needed the TOC. I did not see the doctor for him to confirm and she did not give me a write out of her conclusion of needing services at TOC, she didn't call them ahead even though she thought it was a blood clot and I went to the front desk and paid 50 dollars and was only given a receipt. I step outside for five minutes trying to find this place. Lucky a trauma nurse that I know that went to our church saw me and asked me if I needed info. They called some medical staff and they concluded Toc 5th floor of TMH bc I would've been given a lot more info of what the ER would need and they would've called ahead if she thought it was an emergency for the ER. I went there and they said they only do referrals. Once my husband was done with his appointment the atrium people said go to TOC ugent care now. I called back to TMH urgent care to see the correct address she was trying to send me. They sent me to two nurses, first one said to Google it and I asked the second one to ask the nurse practitioner I just saw. They (TMH urgent care) came back to the phone to tell me 3334 Medical Blvd. I went to the location and they said I need to go to urgent care TOC by regional. This is now third location going because I got not print out from the front desk. I found out all this after I spoke to the nurse practitioner after going to 3 places and finally getting help/ finding out it was only tennis elbow and getting a shot for it) they wanted to know who I saw at (TOC) I called to find out and the nurse kept talking over me and I then asked for the nurse practitioner and she said she is with a patient, I said I would wait. Once the nurse practitioner (not doctor) which belittled me, told me I didn't listen and then realized afterwards I wasn't given a print out of her info to know where to go bc of staff. One on the walk out and second when I called back and asked them to ask her the address. At no point did they read my notes she put in or really ask her when I called. But the good news is I got it at TOC now and was told by TMH hospital and TOC that they are notorious for doing that to patients. Just a warning for anyone trying to go to this one. *****If the owner is reading this I received a call from her personal phone to my cellphone that I did not pick up but had her name displayed but didn't leave a message***** you may leave a message on my voicemail since you called again this morning (this time from the office) and didn't leave one. I want you to state what you want in the message bc I have no care to get bullied by you again and I'm sure that is what you are wanting to do since you're not leaving a message. ****

I went to this place yesterday with a fever, body aches, headache, and dizziness. The treatment I received from the doctor was unhelpful and the desk staff was, frankly, cruel. I dont usually write reviews, but this was just that bad. When the doctor first entered the room, she asked me about my ankle. I told her she must have the wrong person. This would not even be worth mentioning if the rest of the issues didnt occur. Even after looking over the notes from the nurse, the doctor continued to focus on my nose and throat. I repeatedly told her I wasnt having issues with my nose or throat yet, but that I was dizzy, couldnt think straight, had chills and cold sweats, a fever, and that my whole body ached. I told her I had taken a covid test (negative), so was pretty sure I had the flu. She told me my flu test was negative but that I likely had a very early flu, and I should go home and take dayquil and nyquil. She said I could take ibuprofen, too. I asked how frequently and she said, whenever. I asked about tamiflu, having heard you can only take it in the early days, and she said it wouldnt be helpful. Fine. I am not a doctor. But she seemed to be in a rush, and was very dismissive. Sure, a flu isnt a major medical emergency, but thats why I went to urgent care and not the ER. I felt like they were treating my like I had a cold, when in reality I was shivering, sweating, achy, and couldnt stand for more than a minute or two. By the time I got home, my fever was over 103. At this point, the doctor left and the nurse brought me papers about my visit that listed two prescriptions. I asked what they were, because the doctor had just told me to take dayquil and nyquil. The nurse said she didnt know, and didnt say shes find out. So, I asked if she could find out. She came back quickly and told me one of the prescriptions was a nasal spray, but she didnt know what the other was. It feels like bad practice to tell a patient one thing and then prescribe something else with no information, especially when that patient has told you that she is having trouble thinking straight. At this point I had been in the consultation room for 45 minutes, feeling worse and more achy by the minute. I went to the window to pay and check out. The staff told me my bill was $25, and I handed them 2 20 dollar bills. The woman working took the money, and I told her that I needed change. She said we dont have change. I asked what I should do, and she said pay by card or leave all $40. I had not brought my card, as I had left home dizzy and confused and had not grabbed everything I needed. I told her I didnt have a card, and she and a man behind the counter laughed at me. This was just plain mean. I can only imagine how much worse it would feel for low income customers, to be laughed at for asking for change or not having a card. I was in a large amount of pain and haziness at this point and nearly cried at how they treated me. I asked if there was another option, and he woman at the window said she could bill me. I dont know why she didnt offer this as an option in the first place when she realized she didnt have change. I said that was fine and left, in tears from the pain, confusion, lack of help, and the way I was treated. I essentially received no care from TMH urgent care and was treated badly when I already felt bad enough. I could blame this on them being busy, but there were only 2 other people in the building. I know the flu isnt exactly a groundbreaking medical emergency, but I would say staff not laughing at patients is the bare minimum. I have had a fever between 102 and 103 since returning home. If I get help again, it will not be here.
