Unfortunately, the pace at this restaurant was quite slow. Service and food took longer than expected, which dampened the overall experience.

Truly the trip of a lifetime! Juan Carlos puts together a jam packed experience from the day you land till the day you take off, with even travel days being fun filled and action packed! For those wanting to travel with the comfort of knowing everything has been handled by a true professional, you cannot go wrong. We were met at the airport by a friendly face, having been told to look out for him before our flight began. From there we were spirited away to our hotel for the next few days, a truly five star accommodation. The next few days were spent touring the wonderful capital of Quito, seeing breathtaking cathedrals and enjoying local sights and colors. ...and the food! Truly, you could not ask for a more authentic dining experience. Not one meal was a throwaway, with even the hotel breakfast containing many great local choices. We were treated to the best of all levels of food, from local fare to high end dining, all with a uniquely Ecuadorian slant to it. It was a delight for the palate for sure! From there we caught an early morning flight down to our Galapagos leg, got to the islands, and got settled into our home on the sea for the next few days. Before we could even get on the boat however, we had our first encounter with local wildlife as a sea lion lounged on the dock as the local greeter. Should you have any worry, even THAT day had excursions! Once we settled on the boat, we went to our first island with giant tortoises, and a walk through a lava cave...not a down moment at all. Back on the ship we once again dined on a ship-cooked meal of local fare and were able to retire to the top deck to relax and converse over the day. This became our daily ritual moving forward, go ashore for adventures, close encounters with flora and fauna, take amazing photos, then come back to the ship (where we had breakfast, lunch, dinner and multiple snacks) to decompress and chat about our great day. Some days were aquatic adventures, others hiking through the wilds of the islands, and some wonderful relaxation beach side as well. Everything was impeccably planned out and it felt smooth as a Swiss watch to me for the VAST amount of adventures we had. It would be easy to see how a lesser guide could have lost control of so many moving parts, but Juan Carlos was truly top notch, and everyone got to see things that I'm sure we would have never seen in a huge mob of people. I cannot recommend Ecuador Pride highly enough for your travel plans!

When my husband and I decided to explore a country we knew absolutely nothing about, we chose Ecuador. Since our stay would be short, we wanted to see as much as possible; we had no idea how much this beautiful country had to offer. We needed help maximizing our adventure and Ecuador Pride Travel was the key to our success. Owner Juan and his associates Ellie and Francisco treated us as if we were old friends or family; they wanted the best for us. A perfectly tailored itinerary of sights and wonderments, beauty and grace. As they shared with us the history and culture of their homeland, it was very apparent they are proud and love their country very deeply; this enhanced our experience and we too fell in love with Ecuador.
