        I booked a 15 minute discovery call that I had planned to take during my daily walk in the park. there were no instructions, no text message, no join link until I emailed in at the time of appointment since there was no further contact aside from an earlier email to reschedule. I was told because Im not seated, Im not taking this seriously and being disrespectful, and was hung up on. what a strange, hostile interaction.

      You were instructed at the time you booked your discovery call that this is to be treated just like an in-office visit, to make sure your camera is working and to make sure you are in a place where you can discuss your confidential tax matters. You received these instructions in your email and your text message reminders. You were late to the meeting, and when you finally joined it, your camera was off. We are not comfortable speaking to a black screen, we are also evaluating the fit with our potential clients - it's a two way street. When we politely asked you to turn on your camera, you got an attitude and told us there is no need for us to see you. We did not hang up on you, we told you that since you are not able to follow our simple instructions, you are not a fit for our tax practice and that we are terminating the meeting since you refused to turn on your camera. This is not how you should be starting a relationship with a professional from whom you are seeking advice and guidance.
