Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Atlanta Downtown

Unfortunately upon arrival it's not great in that area where it's located in my opinion. Looking to go get food I felt unsafe, and everything is closed. The guest service agent was personable and professional, night security lady was kind. Breakfast was nice, the attendants were nice. Housekeeping could have done better as I used shampoo mostly to wash myself and hands.

Im a Marriott Titanium member and I would like to give this hotel zero star if possible. I got stuck in the elevator and while pressing ring button for help the maintenance shouted back with annoyed voice saying they already heard me. After I finally came out there was no word sorry. The reception just responded with oh when I informed them about incident. Just a super old hotel in horrible location (next to homeless area). Dont stay here Dont get me started talking about how staff at breakfast area dont wash their hands when leaving the bathroom.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff was friendly. Outside of that I have nothing really nice to say. The water in the shower never got hot, only warm, the furniture is old and scratched up, there were stains on the hallway walls that looked to be from spilled beverages. It would have been nice for a Motel 6, but it's not a Motel 6 so absolutely not worth the money. Marriott has no control over this but there is a high concentration of homeless people in the area so if you're not used to that it might make you uncomfortable. The snacks available for purchase were only junk food. Welcome to America! King sized Snickers bars, ice cream, huge bags of potato chips, & sodas. No fruits or vegetables or anything even remotely healthy. There was a sticker from new clothes on the bathroom counter in our room but we didn't have any new clothes. I wonder how long that sticker has been there? When's the last time that bathroom had a thorough cleaning?

Just next to the train station Need to walk across the street full of homeless and scent people beggar to get here Totally not safe here Check in was nightmare no queue, credit card authorization was a mess Hair dryer was filled up with hair and dirt and dont even work properly Get away from this place Safety: Totally not safe here
