The Gay family has been serving our community on their Christmas tree farm since 2001, and I'm happy to support them by buying my fresh Douglas Fir tree from them! The owner himself trimmed and shook my tree, smiling and cheerful. The guy who tried my tree to the roof was likewise friendly and very respectful, asking approval to open my car door to begin. He commented how much he had enjoyed working for Gays these last 8 years. Besides the people, the facility has a fire pit with seating and swings and stringed lights. They offer s'mores for the kids on cold days, and free popcorn and cocoa for every visitor! Three little shop offers cold beverages for sale as well as myriad sundries for gifting, such as locally sourced jams, butter spreads, and BBQ sauce. These sundries are locally sourced, produced by the Mennonite community down in Waynesboro. Their source of fame, of course, are their beautiful Christmas trees. The trees are so swell that they graced the halls of the Governor's Manor throughout the term of Sonny Perdue--that's quite impressive to me! There are trees already cut and there are trees still in the ground, and it's your pick! Cut your own or they'll do it for you! They'll also trim, shake, wrap, and load your tree into/onto your vehicle. Besides the traditional Douglas Firs, they offer a lovely Murray Cypress as well. These are perfect for folks who don't enjoy vacuuming up pine needles, as the Cypress don't shed. I was unwilling to give up the fir tree scent, however, and so we went with the Douglas. The 8 foot Douglas Fir practically beckoned to me when I approached, as if it was destined to be mine. It's tall, fluffy stature was almost regal, as if I had picked the very king of the "forest." I'm sorry-not-sorry to say that I took the best tree on the lot! But there are some gorgeous runners-up still left for y'all. Prices are reasonable for what you get: a beautiful tree and a fun experience. There are cheaper trees out there in retail, but it's true what Grammy always used to say: "Ya get what ya pay for!" I used to do it the retail way, but for the last several years I've been doing it Grammy's way. + = Merry Christmas to the Gay family as well as every one of y'all!

My family and I have been getting fresh trees from here for a couple of years now (after ditching silk trees) and they are literally the best. They are all so nice, you can get a precut tree, or go out and choose a tree and they cut it for you, or you can go out and cut it yourself. They put it in or tie it to your car for you and they have great prices! It's not only a place to get trees too, they have a firepit, a hayride, chickens, and cutout to take pictures at. They also sell popcorn, hot chocolate, and boiled peanuts. This place is super cool and if you're looking for a place to spend a great winter evening I'd definitely recommend!

Our family has been coming here for the past 5 years. Excellent service, wonderful people, usually solid tree selection as long as you get here right after Thanksgiving. they make a range of homemade jams and barbecue sauces here that are very good. Wr look forward to buying some every year when we visit. If there is a better Christmas tree farm in the CSRA, Ive never heard of it, and would have to see it to believe it.
