After a few months, I am changing my review. Don't get me wrong, I thought their staff was professional, kind , not judgmental, and if you are looking for a dentist to maintain your perfect teeth, this is probably the dentist for you (My wife likes him). However, if you have less than a perfect smile like I do, you may want to reconsider this option. My insurance offers a $1000 maximum for dental work for the year and I thought I was doing myself a service financially by going to an "in-network" dentist. I quickly learned a lesson though. I went here for a bad tooth (admittedly my fault because I waited too long). And the option was given to me to try to save it through a referral. Unfortunately though, many dentists are now not willing to take these types of procedures on and are now more frequently "referring" these types of procedures out now. So I was referred to an endodontist to have an exam to see if the tooth could be saved (Which it couldn't). After a $265 copay (just for the exam through the endodontist), I am then referred by Dr. Ferguson's staff to a oral surgeon to have the tooth extracted. I did not get a price for the oral surgeons exam or procedure because when I called, they were booked out 3 weeks and I could not wait that long to get rid of the pain I was going through. I instead called my old dentist on a Friday (who is not in my network), and she got me in on Monday morning to perform the extraction for under $200. To be fair, if a dentist is not comfortable doing an extraction, I am not sure I want them to do it in the first place. Also to be fair, I made the choice to go to an endodontist when I was referred and knew the cost of the referral was what it was. Dr. Ferguson gets the 3 stars only because he is not an option for me because it would cost me a fortune to fix my teeth under his approach to referrals. I was also bothered by the fact that he would not fill the cavities I had until I had a deep cleaning done. With the amount of pain I was experiencing, I would rather have prevented another tooth from getting worse by fixing those teeth in danger before demanding a deep cleaning through a endodontist (another referral).
