Very nice store. Great selection and wide variety of goods.
I so wanted to do business there. Researched places to buy koa wood while on a cruise around the islands. Called the store as we arrived in Hilo to confirm koa inventory. Arrived and was pleasantly surprised by the inventory - many nice pieces to choose from. Located in a back corner of the store, I chose a board and then looked for an employee to help me in getting the board cut into pieces I could pack in luggage. No joy. I was prepared to buy a $70 piece of koa yet no one would make two cuts in a 1x4 board! I should have purchased a handsaw, used it in the parking lot, and then returned the damn saw! Rather shortsighted, in my opinion.

just about the only store I've run into in Hawaii that tries to force their societal conformity not allowing you in the store with your bare feet. seems they have forgotten where they came from and they are out of touch with reality, the societal norms seem to have a stronghold on their values. humans are the only animals that wear shoes and try to force their ridiculous values on others.
Iv been at Sea sailing for the past few months and stopped in Hilo Bay to do some refitting and restocking out my boat and supplies. February Im sailing out on a 4+yr cruise around the world. everywhere I travel I try to only shop at local places rather than corporate enterprises like Home Depot which is where I'm headed now so I can help line the pockets of the corporation rather than keeping it local.
living the pirate life i will not conform
as for the stuff or prices I'm not sure I only made it 10 ft into the entryway but it looked like it had a lot of stuff in there.
