I tried their private dancing classes for a month. Good experience overall but overpriced for sure. I felt like more could be done to keep the private classes more interesting. Chit-chatting with the instructor takes about 1/3rd of the class. I was even scolded by my instructor that I should chit-chat with and try to socialize with her more during the private class haha. I thought I came here to learn how to dance though or try to socialize with me before/after the lectures so that I could get the most out of my $$$. I had fun overall!

Worst place to spend your money at! You can get so much more for less along with people that actually are invested in you at Illusion Dance Studio. In order to win awards here all you have to do is spend money. The person that spends the most is the top student at all showcases. The studio manager in Boise,ID will tell you that you need to come in multiple times a week but the truth is thats for your money! You learn all the same steps in your foundation no matter the pace. This is why she says no need to practice at home. You could come in for one lesson a month and just come to there New comer classes and parties weekly for the extra practice. It will save you money since those Mon, Wed and Fri are offered in the cost of your program you choose. Its $136 a lesson after your first $20.00 New student visit or $108.00 if you are in a package. Every meeting she sits down to talk to you is just to entice you to purchase more. They pick a number of so called lessons after your foundation program and put you in whats called Bronze 1. All these things she will slowly share with you to keep enticing you! All of her dance instructors do not come from much of a back ground of dance either. They are just like you starting out but get pushed through quickly to teach you. So come here if you want to be broke, treated like a number depending on how deep your pockets are and they never ever clean this place. Its filthy gross!!!!

I made an appointment with Arthur Murray Boise 7 weeks ago because I couldnt do more than a wedding shuffle, and wanted to learn how to really dance. I did their $20 Intro lesson and was hooked! My instructor had me dancing, in step, in minutes! I signed up for lessons and am still learning new steps, better techniques, and am learning to be the dancer I dreamed about becoming. The instructors here are top notch, and the studio is warm and inviting. In addition to my individual lessons, there are group lessons and practice parties, which are both great learning experiences and wonderful social events. Ive made so many new friends here. I cant imagine a better place for learning how to dance!

Very friendly studio. Instructors and staff go out of their way to make sure you are having fun and want to come back. I would recommend this studio to anyone who is interested in learning to dance or looking for an activity to get you out of the house.
