I've been working for RISE since 2017 only because my sister is a client there. Recently I had to go full time, thier benefits and pay are absolutely garbage. Prior to taking care of my sister FT I've also worked in assisted living, from caregiving to management, and no one at RISE is trained to care for these individuals because no one is a certified caregiver. They severely lack the skills and training. My sister isn't supped to be left unattended, that's in her service plan, far too many times they don't know where she is or I find her all alone when I pick her up. Management changes far too often and no one has been near as caring as Rachel(she left in 2020, previously the day center director), not sure why she left but she was a rockstar! I haven't switched to a different place because unfortunately I can't make those decisions and the person that can also doesn't understand the need for her or individuals like her. It's a shame that compassion doesn't show for clients and thier employees.

For my family, RISE has been nothing more than a payroll company for AZ DDD. They did listen to my concerns but refused to make any changes. It’s very obvious their management lives in the office and not in the real world. My opinion is that RISE is all about making a buck from the state off of your and my disabled child.

I've worked for this company for more than five years, and it's poorly managed. They have a very high turnover rate of caregivers and management. They can't keep directors very long and training is inadequate. I've tried to communicate the issues with HR but they only say they are "aware of the situation". The company DOES NOT CARE about its staff. I work with group home coordinators who are working 70-80 hours per week. Rise will run you into the ground and expect you to do the workload that is grossly unreasonable. So many people just quit without notice, or don't even show up for their shifts. A friend of mine was a director and she quit the company after a year. She was working full-time at a group home, including working her full daytime job as a director. This was a position I was qualified and considered to take over but I saw what it did to her. I'm embarrassed to work for this company. I'm embarrassed to have recommended highly qualified friends to work here. A friend of mine -- who also works in a group home setting -- gave several supervisors her six week notice for her vacation. They called her, while out of state on vacation, to ask her why she wasn't at work, and she found out she wasn't paid for her vacation time. I like working 10 hours or less per week, because that's tolerable, in a non-group home setting. On the other hand, I do like the flexibility of working here because it allows me to travel a lot, especially prior to COVID. I like the working with the clients. However, dealing with complacent coworkers and insidious leadership are my chief complaints.
