I was looking to order from this restaurant. However, I saw there was a glaring microaggression on their menu. In what world is it okay or in good taste to call a sandwich "border patrol." A sandwich that incorporates the style of food from ethnic, primarily hispanic and latino, communities. That's neither creative nor funny. It's just plain ignorant.

We love Meltz! I have loved every sandwich I have gotten here but I think my favorite is the potsticker. The service is always exceptional too. My only complaint would be the location, because its too far from my house. I think we need a Chinden/10 Mile location next.

Um, yum!! I've been several times and finally wanted to rate the place. Staff is super nice, smiley, and welcoming. The menu has amazing and fairly unique food. I mean, cheese!! Great concept and everything I've had is way yummy. Kinda standard fast food like restaurant layout (chairs and tables that are pretty standard), but some of the art is pretty great and I'm fond of the painted walls and tables. Gave the atmosphere I middle rating only because it's not super fancy, but it's nice and comfortable.

This sandwich was created and named at the original Meltz location in Coeur' d Alene and has been the name of this sandwich for over 11 years, way before there were any issues at any borders. It is actually a celebration of a mixture of two cultures. The first one being the culture of our friends from the south in Mexico with the seasoning of jalapeños, bacon and garlic, and the other from our culture in the US with the ranch dressing, which is America's favorite condiment. While we respect that everyone has an opinion regarding everything these days, it is concerning, and hurtful that people try to damage small businesses by giving one star reviews not based upon the quality of the food and the service, but based upon the names of their products. We love all our customers and always try to provide the highest quality food and best service possible and will always continue to do so.
