350 W Oakdale - PPM Apartments

Horrible experience, everything from talking with the leasing agent to actually moving in. I just moved on 4/15/24; my god my unit was a mess. Looks like they did not clean it all, and I was lied to, by the leasing agent Alec who said they would clean the unit before I moved in. Do not rent here!!! There are better places, in the area. There is other things wrong with place too that I do not want to rant about, since it be so long. STAY AWAY!!!

NEVER RENT FROM THEM: To any future renters, actually listen to the bad reviews here, I ignored them and ended up in a beyond terrible position. It was a headache that ended in a nightmare. First off, to list all problems, when I was doing apartment showings, I informed the guy that I needed a place for my dog and I; I signed 350 W Oakdale and moved-in. A few weeks after moving in, I received a letter saying I could not have my dog (ever though there are tons of other dogs in the building). Next, the actual inhabitable issues: my water was brown, there were cockroaches throughout the building, the electrical outlets are a huge hazard and spark, there were no fire detectors in my unit, my internet cable line was cut 2 months after moving in, the toilet was constantly broken, and the air conditioning units rarely worked. Further, they entered my apartment on numerous occasions and used my peanut butter to set traps for bugs without asking, and moved my belongings aroundtotal invasion of privacy. Lastly, I finally had enough when I was getting hung up on by the maintenance guy and he refused to address the water and electric problems, so I informed them of my move-out. They did not respond to my move-out request, and so I figured that meant it was fine to move. I moved out and kept trying to contact them for a final walk-through and to turn in my keys, I never received a word, so I left them on the counter. Finally get a response, and now I suddenly owe money. I told them they broke the lease on numerous accounts and therefore, I did not owe them a penny. They agreed and hung up. Nearly two years later and they send me to collections over the amount with no notice. I moved because the apartment became unsuitable for living and it was a question of inhabitable conditions. SERIOUSLY, SAVE YOURSELF, NEVER RENT FROM THEM!!!

Moved in a few days ago. One elevator doesnt work at all. The other has not worked half the times Ive needed it. Goodluck if you rent on higher floors. Management says the one that works is brand new, Ive never heard a more brazen lie given how often it doesnt work.
