1049 W Oakdale - PPM Apartments

I lived in a studio apartment at 1049 W Oakdale for almost 4 years. Always had a good experience. The units are slightly old as you would expect but everything else compensates well. Jenna in the leasing office is always responsive and very helpful, while Sead the building engineer is available for any issues that come up. The common spaces are always kept clean and tidy while the units are well designed with separate spaces, even within the studio, for walk-in closet, kitchen, and fridge area. The location is quite amazing in my opinion. Very safe neighborhood. Quiet yet just a block away from multiple nice bars and restaurants. A very short walk to the Wellington L station (you can leave the house 5 mins before the train arrives and get on it easily). Grocery stores also easily accessible (I used to go to Trader Joes about a 10-12 min walk away, but there are other options as well). My only complaint was that my unit did not have a view, and because I don't enjoy moving I did not try to move within the building in later years. I would highly recommend both this area and the building!

spacious and well priced studio unit in lakeview. loved living close to the train and near grocery stores. the building definitely had a bug infestation and because the dumpsters were shared with other buildings, they were constantly overflowing which led to a consistent rat problem outside and around the courtyard. my unit had not been updated yet and was overall having issues with things not working properly. the images online do look different than the actual space, so make sure to see it in person first if you want to live here. i made that mistake and wish i had toured it prior to move in day.

I worked with Bogdan at PPM and I had a great experience renting and working with him. He understood the neighborhood and also the units and buildings he was renting extremely well. If you are considering renting in Lakeview or Lakeview East, I would definitely recommend him.

My name is Muller and I was a resident at 1049 W Oakdale for over three years. I want to start off by saying it was more than just an apartment to me as it truly became my home. The staff at 1049 W Oakdale became like a family to me. From the doormen to maintenance - I always received happy greetings and a welcome home. This 4-story walk-up, is located in the center of Chicagos magnificently diverse Lakeview community and close to Wrigley Field, Chicago Cubs baseball team. Can't say enough about how amazing of a home it was. The apartments here are fantastic!
