Daniel has brought my hair back to life!! He is amazing and such a perfectionist. He truly takes his time and involves you throughout the whole process to make sure you leave satisfied. I always leave loving my hair!

I moved to Chicago last year and decided to go to Zazu to get my balayage touched up. Both times I got my hair done by Veronica. The first time my hair came out great with little to no damage. The second time (March 2023) , Veronica had another client come in while the bleach was in my hair. The bleach was in my hair for over 1 hour and I began to worry as I knew it was in for way too long. I called over another stylist to make sure they didnt forget about me and they told me 2 more minutes. I left with extremely dry hair with a ton of breakage and split ends. I ended up having to cut off most of my hair because the breakage was so bad.

A few months ago a professional stylist from a different salon over texturized my wavy/curly hair so I visited TJ for a consultation and she encouraged me to wait it out because my hair was healthy. Unfortunately I got impatient and two months later visited yet another salon and still wasn't 100% satisfied so then I myself tampered with my hair too (and made things worse) I booked a professional cut and style with TJ and she took her time cutting what needed to be reshaped so my curl could come back. She then blew my hair dry to see how the layers hit and flat ironed my hair straight for the final touches with her scissors Everything looked beautiful straight and I received a ton of compliments that day. Over the weekend though I was dying to see the cut worn curly and I was extremely pleased. This is a cut in progress as we wait for the front layers to grow out. TJ is very skilled with wavy/curly hair and you won't leave disappointed I'm including photos of my hair styled both straight and curly within the body of this review so you can see for yourself. A good cut for curly hair should look good wet, worn naturally curly and blown dry straight! I'm happy to have my lion's mane back... Services: Haircut, Blowdry, Curly hair
