We absolutely loved being a part of the Field School. The teachers are beyond amazing and the staff is always ready to listen. The administradors are professional and humble at the same time. This school embraces diversity and holds to their Christian values. Working here is a great experience and the kids love attending.

As a teacher who has worked in different settings, both private and public, over the last ten years, I can say with unwavering confidence that the Field School is a special place. I truly loved being a member of this school community. Not only were my former colleagues incredibly skilled in their teaching craft, but the love and care they had for children and families shone through every day. As for what it was like to be there as a teacher, I not only felt that I had voice (and that my voice mattered), but I actually DID. It's awesome when the stated mission of an institution actually matches the lived reality of it in the day to day. One time, for example, I asked to adjust a portion of the curriculum in order to include a few more diverse, non-white perspectives and I was met with an enthusiastic, "Yes! Go for it!" I still appreciate the admin for taking the time to understand how this adjustment was necessary in order to keep in step with one of the values of the Field School (diversity), and not only in terms of representation of the children and the teaching faculty & staff, but also in regards to the content & curriculum itself. I also valued the positive and productive relationships I had with the families of the students I taught. Better still, the children were and remain the primary treasures! The work the Field School is committed to-- bringing children together from different racial, economic, and cultural backgrounds-- is hard, good, beautiful work. But it's work that's being tenaciously pursued because of the conviction that God has created every child in His image, and with the right to flourish--body, soul, mind, and spirit. Who wouldn't love coming to an environment where you see the glimmer of joyful discovery sparkling in the eyes of each community member? This is the Field School!
