I had the aloo chat and the lamb shank both were delicious, spot on flavors. The cocktails were also fabulous and strong. Where the night lacked was in desert. We had the cheesecake and payasam. The payasam was more of a kheer and lacked South Indian floors such as cardamom. The cheesecake was way too American. I would have rather ended on a gulab Jamin or more authentic payasum/kheer.

Surcharge: As a way to offset rising costs associated with the restaurant (food, beverage, labor, benefits, supplies), we have added a 4% surcharge to all checks. We do this in lieu of increased menu prices. You may request to have this taken off your check, should you choose.

My husnand is Goan and we are in Chicago for our honeymoon. We REALLY wish this restaurant was in St. Louis too (owner make it happen!) Gobi 65 was fabulous. Shrimp Koliwada was yummy. No idea what sauces were there. Poi bread was perfect. Gobi stew was spicy but had good flavor. Garlic naan was FIRE. Butter chicken I personally feel like was tooooo much tomato not enough cream. Mango laasi was amazing too higjly recommend. Our waitress Uyen was AWESOME she was so nice and helpful. Very knowledgeable about the menu. The vibe is killer and love the color scheme. Will definitely return.
