Village Eyecare - Wicker Park

My first appointment and visit at this company location. And wow!! The staff and doctor were absolutely wonderful! Truly enjoyed meeting everyone. Nice environment, great technology options. Im excited to continue my vision care here. They helped me with my contacts order and Ill be going back to get fitted for glasses. Highly recommend!!!! Shout out to the wicker park staff members I met - Rich, Michel, Phylicia and Dr Clermont!

Quick , easy, and VERY helpful! My appointment was on-time, quick, and the staff was very helpful when answering any questions & selecting new lenses!

Thorough examination, nice office and staff, and they were able to accommodate an urgent appointment. Dr. Clermont even followed up with me on the weekend. I appreciate that. Downside is the long wait time for lenses, its no fault of Village Eyecare, more systemic. I guess the people who make the lenses dont need them, if they did theyd know how its nearly impossible to function without them and have some sense of urgency or at least an expedited process.

I have generally received good service and my exams have gone off without a hitch but the attention to finer details sometimes lacks. For example, I went to order contacts with CostCo Optical (you have to go in person to buy contacts using insurance, a frustrating flaw of CostCo Optical, not Village Eye Care), only to discover that they would not place an order because the Village Eyecare doctor did not sign the prescription they provided to me. With that doctor being out of office, I wasnt able to get a signed prescription same day so I now had to make another trip to CostCo Optical. After my last appointment, I was told that I would get a phone call when a 5 day trial set of daily contact lenses was delivered to the store, only to never receive a call back. Its these smaller details, compounded by the inconvenience of outside factors (CostCo) that can leave you feeling like theres something left to be desired with the service.
