The quality of my building has gone downhill since Bertsch purchased them in January 2023. 1) No more seasonal bug spraying despite the building having had an undisclosed cockroach problem when I moved in 2022 2) No more communication through the portal when maintenance responds to requests. A maintenance worker said they were "almost done" when I had to leave (which is perfectly fine!) Imagine my surprise when I come home to a giant hole in the wall. No physical note, no text, no message in the portal. I called the office to ask if they knew about this. The woman who answered said someone would be out to fix it. I waited a week and it was not fixed. I had to make a new request to fix my wall. 3) They refuse to give us a larger recycling bin despite it overflowing every week 4) Since yesterday, there is no hot water. No notice about this, waiting for a response from my maintenance request. EDIT: Was fixed about an hour after posting this, still no response. EDIT 2: It's nighttime again and it's back! They just don't seem to care, like most management companies. Whatever.

Bertsch Properties has been wonderful to work with over the last 2 years we have been renters at one of their properties. One of the best property management companies Ive rented from in my years of renting. Staff is friendly and helpful, and maintenance requests are always handled promptly and efficiently.

The management has been very responsive and accommodating to most of my requests if not all of them. The lady named Panya is always being cordial , attentive and professional. Diane, a property agent who helped me find my current place is also a lovely and caring lady. They have a pretty good maintenance team who by and large gets the job done properly. The central heater in my apartment was not working properly. So, they got a brand new furnace to replace the old one. If you have anything that is not working properly, you simply make a request through the portal and they will get it fixed. Be it the sewage clogged or the heater not working. This is how properties management should be done!
