We have known Debra for over a dozen years - she helped us buy our first place in Chicago. Over the years she has advised us on value-adding renovations, recommended numerous high-quality contractors, and held our hands as we dipped our toes into the market from time to time thinking about a place to better fit our family. Her patience knew no bounds as we looked several times but always decided it wasn't the time for us for to move. This year we finally decided to do it, and Debra was there with us every step of the way, helping us identify what we needed and the areas we wanted to be, and getting our place ready for sale. We are out-of-towners, soon to be transplanted Chicagoans, having recently closed on the purchase of a residential property downtown under the careful and expert guidance of Debra and her amiable and capable team. I cannot recommend this team highly enough. Katharine is exceptionally competent, extremely personable, and highly responsive. She really took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and only shared those listings that met my exact criteria. I could tell that each client was receiving customized service rather than getting the same off-the-shelf recommendations as everyone else. Katharine is super scrappy and tenacious, more than willing and able to negotiate and think outside the box on behalf of prospective tenants to maximize their outcomes. And if you are looking at apartments while out of town, shell even go on the tours for you - not all brokers do this. And best of all, its entirely free to you!
