Beautiful parlor. Great drinks and awesome bartender! We had a good time!

We came in here for a quick drink before going to dinner elsewhere. Despite only having one drinks the bartender was very friendly and the drinks were very good. We were notified that food was unavailable to order anyway as they were in a transition period at the point in which we stepped into the establishment. I will say there was an unpleasant odor that I couldnt place but had we been looking to eat here that wouldve turned me right off. The odor was persistent and bothersome. Despite wanting to enjoy my drink, I found myself drinking it faster than I wanted to because I just wanted to get away from this smell. Later on, a friend of mine I was with informed me that they had smelled it too and that she thought it was just due to old buildings some times having a lingering odor because they are so old. Anyway, this may be a once off but because it was such a prevalent part of my experience, I had to mention it.
