Industrial Door Company of Chicago, Inc.

One of their drivers parked in the bike lane and I almost got hit by another car trying to go around it. If that driver is typical of the people who work for this company, this is the rudest company in Chicago.

Avoid this company!! Our condo HOA had a horrible experience and were mistreated after being a customer who has spent thousands on maintenance and repairs with Industrial Door over the years. They are dishonest and uncommunicative (unless they are billing you for work you never authorized or even saw completed). If you are considering hiring Industrial Door take your business elsewhere.

Hopefully this review will save someone else the frustrations Ive had with Industrial Door. My condo HOA has spent thousands with this company over the past few years for maintenance of our garage door. I called recently for a service. Sparing the details Industrial Door sent us an invoice 7 weeks after work was supposedly completed that no one in my condo can confirm actually happened. There was no communication from Industrial Door (we just assumed they never showed up) until 7 weeks after when they sent an invoice to my email saying they had the wrong email and was just getting around to sending the invoice. The company has the worst communication, but of course is quick to respond when they want payment. They also quoted us work for $5k that another company came out and made the repair for $350, but that unfortunately isnt the worst part of our experience but does make me question the thousands we previously spent on maintenance with Industrial Door. Tldr - avoid this company and give your money to a company that has ethical practices.

Buyer BEWARE! If you want to pay someone $1,025 for "up to 5 hrs" to visit the site, stay 15 minutes and say, "Sorry, can't repair it" and leave. Only later to come back with a quote for another $5,000 to do the work, then this is def the company to use. Even tried to say that $300 of the initial invoice was for the 1.5 hrs it took them to quote the repairs that needed to be done. (How do they charge that in advance of the technician coming out? Hmmmm). Be mindful of the "up to" on the quote. If they bill up to 5 hours and provide less than an hour onsite, too bad, you gotta pay for the full 5 hours. What a joke and a scam.
