Kay Jewelers

Got my wife's grandmother's ring "fixed" tightened and soldered wedding bands on. Paid around $250. We would have gone to our normal jeweler, but they were backed up. Fast forward 11 months and the solder job fell apart. Wanted to charge me another $140, but after squaking they said $100. I refused. I got my wife's wedding band soldered 20 yrs ago and it is still perfect. I took to my family jeweler and they said Kay did a poor job. She fixed for $40 and guaranteed for life. To make it worse, I got a call from Kay customer service to try to make me feel like I was in the wrong somehow. I said I'd just take my business elsewhere...she said that is fine...so I thought I'd send out a buyer beware to others to stay away. Buying and supporting my local jeweler for now on will be my priority. You get what you pay for...and Kay Jewelers is a perfect example!

Stopped in here just to have a repair done on my wedding ring, ended up shopping to trade mine in instead! Ann and Diana both worked so patiently with me going over many different options for my trade-in and finding cost effective ways to make my dream come true. I also felt that these ladies were not pushy with sales- they really listened to me and my ideas. I really enjoyed their customer service and our laughs! I didn't make a purchase that day, however I did walk out feeling VERY encouraged, and will be back! I highly recommend this store.
