Worst car rental experience in my life and I have rented from many different car rental companies. When returning car we were told by Cliff that we were good to go, and miraculously less than 15 minutes of leaving we were called and told the car was dirty inside and had pet hair inside and were going to be charged a 250.00 deep cleaning fee. Went back to store and spoke with Cliff who treated myself and my son as if we were incompetant! I asked to be shown what he was taking about and he showed me gravel and dirt on the floor on passenger side of car carpet and some pet hair on seats (mind you when we received this car it was right after a major snow storm) and the car had floor mats in the entire car except for passenger side and we live in Iowa and hard to keep floors clean in the middle of winter! Needless to say I took the car and vacuumed it out to ensure we did not have to pay for deep cleaning which took me less than 15 minutes to complete. Moral of story I dont know anyone who makes 250.00 for 15 minutes of work, guess Im in the wrong business but one thing is for sure I will NEVER rent another car from Hertz again!
