We had a nice stay back around St. Patrick's Day weekend. Was there for the Iowa Men's State Bowling Tournament. The room was very nice and clean and the staff and service was friendly. The continental breakfast the next morning was excellent. Definitely will stay there next time and giving them 5 stars. Thank you.

It was a standard LaQuinta. Nothing special or unique. Pet area not cleaned up nor suppies outside and trash can for dog feces was full.
Room was clean. Clock not plugged in which also had plugs for USB. Pulled out nightstand not clean behind there lots of trash. Amenities lacking, missing chair or couch or chaise in the corner or along the wall. Towels rough. Breakfast at 820 eggs was almost gone and runny. Pancake machine had a note no syrup. Biscuits and gravy, ok.
Staff pleasant.

Great rooms & breakfast. Room key constantly has to be reset which sucks when you are far from the lobby. No good views out the windows.

Davenport is one of the two major cities in Iowa. That is not a compliment. It's an indictment on Iowa's two-tier social system including the city folk, and everyone else.
The evil part about it is the city folk think they're in the upper class, and everyone else is lower. In actuality, the city folk are the dregs of Iowan society propped up by the rest of the state.
I write this small lesson to set the tone for what to expect if you visit this or any other hotel in the area. This is the best corner lot around the clover highway exits and it's garbage. The other three corners are worse.
The bed was nice. The refugee-esque lifers staying in the building have broken all the side doors, so they don't lock any time of the day. There is trash stuffed in wall cracks ranging from food to advanced ways to imbibe forbidden substances.
The desk clerk originally was nowhere to be found for my CLC check-in, and once summoned demanded a CLC card while holding the crewfax payment in his hand.
The second check-in for a layover found an extra charge for early check-in, despite being a long time wyndham rewards member, which includes free early check-in. In addition to the sassy nature of the attendant and multiple foul-smelling guests lining up to ask the most inane and useless questions.
I don't like Iowa, so some may be confirmation bias... but this is why i have that bias. It wasn't a consequence of my birth that caused it. The Iowa people have shown me they're not worth common human decency everytime i interact with one.
