Motel 6 Davenport, IA

AVOID this motel. Our reservation for 2 king beds and a micfridge (microwave and fridge). Neither existed in the room we checked in to. In fact, the manager at the time (Sebastian) said the motel got rid of ALL the microwaves and mini fridges. So we lost money on food we had that needed to be refrigerated and food we had purchased (pulled pork and sides) that needed heating in a microwave. There was still stool/feces in the toilet, unflushed, and some woman's underwear still hanging from the shower curtain. A dog in a room above ours was barking constantly; when I told Sebastian about this he said "oh, that's my dog who has separation anxiety". The "BLANKETS" for the beds are not really blankets-- they are made of plastic/polyester and about 1/16th inch think, like for a plastic shower curtain; so good luck staying warm. I have have lodged in many Motel 6 rooms at various cities and this was by far the worst. I am done with Motel 6. I complained about this to corporate and got an email response that looked like it was composed by AI and not a human as it had no human name associated with it. I guess Motel 6 could care less. I will let the BBB and the Iowa State Attorney General know of this fraud and deceit at this motel, because photos of the rooms for this motel showed mini fridges and microwaves in rooms (I printed the website and such photos).

Roaches in first room. Front desk agent gave me attitude for complaining. Reassigned me to another room and it has filthy sheets. Skip this place. Can't recommend.

Do NOT stay here.... it's one of the most disgusting Motel 6 locations I have ever stayed in. We have stayed in many Motel 6 locations & 90+% of the time they actually are clean, comfortable, & a good value for a quick overnight. This location does not fall into that category. If I could give it 0 stars I would. We reserved 2 rooms. The room my daughter was staying in had roaches crawling around. The room I was staying in didn't appear to have roaches (although my daughter did find some on the 2nd night). In my room it didn't appear that the beds had actually been made after the previous guests & the floor was covered with junk. Since my room had 2 beds, I was trying to decide which pillows I wanted (because they all sucked) & as I flipped over one set of pillows, there was an obvious blood stain under the pillow... so... if housekeeping had actually been in there, one would think they would have noticed when they changed out the beds. The sheets on the 2nd bed were also stained. I went to the front desk to ask if I could have a fresh set of sheets, & the front desk person was less-than-thrilled, & told me I had to bring up the stained sheet first. When I brought up the sheets plus the blanket, which also had stains on it, it appeared to be a major inconvenience to her to have to go & also get me a new blanket (which, once I got it back to my room, was also stained). I didn't ask her to have housekeeping remake my bed... I just wanted some that might possibly be clean (they really weren't, but they were better than what was on there). I had just one towel that didn't look particularly clean. And when I went into the bathroom, there was no toilet paper on the roll holder... apparently this is a self serve motel & it's good enough that they put 1 roll into one of the towel cubbies out by the sink. Also no bag in the garbage can. When we mentioned the roaches to the front desk person after night #1, all the guy said was "I can try to get maintenance to check it out", in a tone that really meant "I don't care". If we had had any other options in the area that would allow dogs & had rooms for us, we would have tried to figure out how to check out & go elsewhere. Writing this review so that others have the opportunity to look for someplace better if at all possible.
