Community America has always helped me to find solutions. I lost my debit card and they quickly made me a new card and canceled the lost card. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and kind. And if you ever have to wait there is cookies and coffee. It is a modern union with high end ATM machines with live tellers and full service.

I recently visited Community America Credit Union after speaking with a representative on the phone, who assured me that they offer services for opening probate estate accounts. However, my experience at the branch left me frustrated and disappointed. Despite what their representative had told me, the staff at the branch seemed completely unaware of what I was talking about when I inquired about opening an estate account. Even when I explained to her what a probate estate account was, she then informed me that they didnt offer those services. To my surprise, the manager politely suggested that I go to a larger financial institution. This lack of consistency and knowledge is deeply concerning, especially when dealing with sensitive matters such as settling financial affairs after the passing of a loved one. It's baffling that their website claims to offer assistance with account settlement for deceased members, yet the staff at the branch seemed utterly clueless about it. On their website, Community America Credit Union states, "We understand this can be a stressful and emotional time, so you can rely on us to help make handling your loved ones financial affairs as simple as possible." However, their website needs to clarify whether these services are exclusively for account holders or available to the general public. Providing this clarification would prevent misunderstandings and disappointment for potential customers seeking assistance with estate settlement. Their website outlines the following process for account settlement: "One of our teammates will gather the information listed below and forward it to an Estate Representative. The Estate Representative will review account type(s), account ownership, and any applicable beneficiary designations. You will then be contacted as soon as the review is complete; this could take several days. Please inform the teammate you speak with of any special circumstances or timing issues we should be aware of." I expected better from a financial institution like CommunityAmerica Credit Union. It's evident that there is a significant disconnect between what their representatives claim and the actual knowledge and services provided by the branch staff. I urge CommunityAmerica Credit Union to ensure that their staff are properly trained and informed about the services they offer, as inconsistencies like this can lead to a great deal of frustration and inconvenience for customers. Overall, my experience with CommunityAmerica Credit Union was disappointing, and I would caution others to verify the accuracy of the information provided by their representatives before relying on it.
