Dr. Roscoe W. Scott

Dr. Scott and his staff have taken great care of me and my teeth for almost 20 years now. Dr. Scott is not only a great dentist, that charges fair prices, but he is a great person too. I consider him and his staff part of my extended family. I appreciate that he listens and cares about his patients and performs his work as painlessly as possible. I like the fact that he performs his own root canals and makes his own crowns in his office, instead of farming it out to an Endodontist. Great dentist and staff that actually care about people. Last of a dying breed.

Ive been going to "Roscoe" since I was born. He knows me well and my whole family. I know all of his staff. They have always treated me with respect. I dont think his prices are unreasonable. He always does what is right for me and my teeth. I like going to him.

My husband and I both visited Dr. Scott. My first visit was because I had an abscess in a tooth that had already been worked on previously, by a fabulous dentist, and was already crowned. I did not make an emergency visit, I asked when their first opening was and I was charged 168 dollars for the first "emergency" visit that lasted less than 10 minutes, two days after I made the appointment. It turned out I needed 2 root canals in two of the crowned teeth. He did the root canals, I was in the chair for several hours. I paid 300 dollars of the ridiculous amount they charged me for the root canals at the time of service, not to mention he put silver colored filling in my beautiful crowns. I cannot remember the total amount I paid but I know it was well over 900 dollars and that includes my insurance paying for half. This does NOT include the crowns as I already had them. The staff was rude stating they would send me to collections if I did not pay them immediately. This is the worst part, less than 2 years after I got the root canal, one of my crowns fell off because somehow the tooth underneath was broken. The dentist I asked to glue the crown back on told me whoever did my root canal must have cracked my tooth, of course this is just speculation. Ultimately this root canal, and my beautiful crown filled with silver coloring had to be extracted. The work he did on my husband was unnoticeable by the dentist we are going to now. He could not tell that any work had been done on my husband in more than several years. We paid a huge amount of money for horrible work. I think this might be why they have such nice computer screens, etc. I was referred by a nice man I work with to Dr. Williams, unfortunately due to Dr. Williams being partnered with this dentist I would not go. I did need another root canal and I was referred to a fabulous Endodontist in Olathe who did a wonderful job (through a crown) and I was out of their office in 45 minutes total. I paid a total of 160 dollars after my insurance paid. This is less than the amount Dr. Scott's office charged me for my first visit when they did nothing but an x-ray! Stay away - you will not get good work from Dr. Scott.

Very informative, friendly, and they don't treat you as "just" another patient.
